Sugarscape has been covered in the press by PSFK, Brand Republic, NMA and Paid Content. Some alternative views too. When I had the concept of a social bookmarking player, like You Tube for bookmarks (with teen usesr and editorial content), I was not sure how people would get used to it...Its been a good response from users, but we have much to do still. Working on widgets and some other cool features.

Sugarscape went live. Off to India for Christmas. Planning to do this. Sugarscape has been an intense project. We used Drupal and yes its in beta and some gremlins. Have a play. Also went for Widgety Goodness in Brighton which was rather good and came across some great companies.

Leaving BBC to join Hachette Filipacchi UK as the Creative Director for their start-up Digital department. I have to build a design team from scratch and develop their digital product strategy/propositions for their titles starting with Elle and Sugar. Other titles are Elle Decoration, Sugar, Red, Psychologies and Inside Soaps.

I've always felt the women's lifestyle space especially magazines are ripe for some serious applied innovation and cool new products. Most magazine sites suck. Its going to be fun working some talented people and hey... might also get some fashion freebies.

Have been selected to represent BBC at the British Creative Exchange event created by Revelation magazine. Have been building an installation with Betasynth titled "How are you today?" Inspired from the infamous Microsoft tagline in the 90s "Where do you want to go today?". Exploring people's Digital Wellbeing..their attitude towards their daily interactions with digital product and services. The private view is on 16th March at the La Viande gallery.

Have been invited to X Media Labs as mentor for FICCI FRAMES in Mumbai to mentor start-ups in the digital entertainment space. Shekar Kapur will be there, that's great. Also working on a very interesting project with multiple broadcasters. The whole iPTV VOD space is going to get more interesting.

Trusted Places launches with my design and whoppee! wins funding of $1million. I am so happy for them. Guardian and Mashable both praise the simplicity of the site design :)

Also since becoming Innovation executive at BBC Innovation and Strategy, my portfolio involves mobile innovation and funding get-togethers like Min-Bar. Working with Tiggdo, Ymogen and BBC Events on various interesting mobile related projects.

Ymogen are working with us, Nokia and Brighton Uni to explore mobile citizen journalism. Tiggdo came through Backstage. BBC events wants some cool enagagment possibilities using mobile at events like Crufts!.

DWB presents "Into the Woods" the next collection which celebrates all things inspired by nature and technology. We have been covered now by Dazed and Confused, Cool Hunting and World Changing. Also working on the Christmas collection. A bit crazy with office work and store, but learning a lot. Went for my first tech call to fix a bunny in Clapham the other day. Cycled from Whitecity. Also started consulting with Trusted Places to move their site into the next level...

Taking unpaid leave to work on Digital Wellbeing Store with Alexander. Its being launched at the Shop at Bluebird on Kings Road for the London Design Festival. The first collection is Black & White due to launch on 14th September. We have got some amazing products (software and hardware lined up in various lifestyle groupings). The invite I had coded also managed to hit CSS Mania site of the day :)

Produced and directed exhibition "Beyond Broadcast - BBC in an onDemand world" to make tangible BBC Creative Futures strategy and changes in organisation. We built a living home triggered by RFID interactions. There was a fictitious family made up of actors living there who showed around 2000 BBC employees projects that would affect homes- from living room to work spaces. Worked with an amazing bunch of talented people.

Quite excited as I have been selected to be on the NESTA Creative Pioneer Programme.
From NESTA:
"It's not a business school and it does not simply teach the systems that businesses need to operate effectively. Instead it invites individuals to view setting up in business as a creative act in itself and an opportunity to re-design the way businesses might operate."
