Priya Prakash is currently Creative Director - Digital at Hachette Filipacchi UK to make titles such as Elle, Sugar, Red, Psychologies, Elle Decoration, Inside Soaps etc multi-platform. She developed Sugarscape: The first teen social bookmarking player launched in December 2007.

Prior to HFUK, Prakash was working as Innovation Executive at BBC Innovation & Strategy, where she mentored and colloborated with UK digital startups to help drive innovation within BBC.

Her expertise lies in applied innovation ie. new product development - Creating new forms of iPTV (internet protocol TV) distribution channels and social software formats for traditional broadcast/ publishing media companies. Translating business needs and customer insights by implementing them into profitable product strategies.

She enjoys creating pioneering digital products or services. From business case analysis, user needs identification, concept creation, build, delivery (beta rollouts) and live service running; she has deep knowledge of the complete product lifecycle.

She has crafted prototypes to rolled out betas which have attracted further funding between £0.5-20 million for services such as iPlayer, Project Kangaroo, Trusted Places-Top 25 UK startups (Guardian 2007). In 2005, she got awarded a NESTA fellowship to set up Digital Wellbeing Labs

Prakash is a certified Scrum Master and has had executive management training at Ashridge School of Business. She holds an M.A. in Interaction Design from the Royal College of Art in London and a BA in Communication Design from National Institute of Design in India.
